The Woman Behind the Brand
"I started Auriel Klothings because I wanted women to feel the light in what they wear — not just see it."
Born and raised in Punjab, Nidhi Gupta grew up surrounded by the vivid colours, bold prints, and rich textile traditions of North India — from the phulkari embroidery of her home state to the block prints of Jaipur and the layered elegance of Delhi's fashion lanes. Fabric wasn't just fabric; it was identity.
In 2011, Nidhi moved to Pune and fell in love with the city — but she noticed something missing. The vibrant, handcrafted ethnic styles she had grown up with in Punjab, the earthy block prints of Jaipur, the fusion silhouettes of Delhi's markets — none of it had really reached Pune in the way she knew it could.
That gap became her calling. She started Auriel Klothings with a single purpose: to bring the best of Punjab, Jaipur, and Delhi's ethnic and fusion fashion to the women of Pune. Not as imitation, but as a curated bridge — pieces that carry the soul of North India's craft traditions while fitting seamlessly into a modern Pune woman's life.
She handpicks every fabric, every print, every stitch detail with the same care she'd want for herself. From the soft drape of a cotton kurta on a summer afternoon to the quiet luxury of an embroidered set for a special occasion — every piece from Auriel Klothings travels with a story.
